Take action now, to help cleanse and build your dog or cat's immune system. Simple steps can be taken to clean out the toxins from your pet's system. While medications and drugs give temporary relief, they also serve to mask and push symptoms further into your pet's system causing more damage and illness later on. That is in addition, to any nasty side effects these medications may have.
Natural Remedies and Home Remedies for Dogs and Cats with Allergies
For Temporary relief from itchy skin, rashes, skin irritations and redness due to allergies in dogs and cats: Give your dog or cat a lukewarm bath for 10 minutes with Aveeno® (colloidal oatmeal) to relieve itching. Apply to pet's coat when mixture is warm to the touch (not hot).
For temporary relief of itchy feet or licking paws in dogs: If your dog has itchy feet or they are licking their paws constantly, fill the tub with enough warm water to cover their feet, dissolve a couple cups of Epsom salts in the water or oatmeal (see above instructions) and soak dog's feet for 5-10 minutes.
Hot spot relief in dogs and cats in dogs and cats: Clean hot spots with witch hazel and apply Vitamin E, Aloe Vera, or Olive Oil directly to itchy areas. Great tips. Two of my three dogs have seasonal allergies and every spring we head off to the vets office to get some relief. It never seems to completely go away though and they are miserable. I am going to try some of your suggestions.
